A season of showing up
One Vote. One Gift.
A Promise to Stand With Veterans.
Imagine a veteran arriving in a new place carrying more than a bag. There may be paperwork to sort through, appointments to make, bills to understand, and the weight of starting over. The first step toward stability might be a safe place to stay. The next may be getting to an appointment, preparing for work, or having someone who will keep showing up.
That is why support for veterans matters. A roof offers a place to rest, but a path forward takes people and resources. At Michigan Veterans Foundation, support can help veterans access housing, health care, counseling, employment assistance, and practical guidance as they work toward independent living. The work is steady and human, built around helping each veteran take the next step.
This season, the community has an opportunity to take part in that work in two ways. One begins with a vote. Through December 31, Target Circle members can use their available community votes to help direct Target’s giving to MVF. Target distributes funding among participating nonprofits based on the share of votes each organization receives. Cast your Target Circle votes for Michigan Veterans Foundation.
Michigan Veterans Foundation is listed in the Target Circle Community Voting campaign through December 31.
A vote can help open the door to more support
Target Circle votes do not cost extra. Target Circle members earn votes through qualifying purchases and can choose which participating organizations receive a share of Target’s community giving. If you have votes available, you can direct them to MVF. If someone in your family or circle shops at Target, sharing the voting link is another way to bring the campaign to their attention.
Then comes GivingTuesday, a day when people across the country turn their attention toward generosity. In 2026, GivingTuesday falls on December 1. A gift to MVF can help sustain the work veterans may need as they rebuild stability and move toward independent living.
When a veteran has support to take the next step, that step can lead to a safer home, a new routine, renewed purpose, and a future with more possibility.
Give on GivingTuesday, or give early
Giving does not have to wait until December 1. The Mightycause GivingTuesday early giving period runs November 17 through November 30, and online gifts during that window count toward the campaign. The contest also includes prizes for participating nonprofits, with award amounts and categories based on fundraising and donor participation. Any prize is an opportunity, not a guarantee. The most important part is the support a gift brings to MVF’s work.
A vote and a donation do different things, but both begin with the same choice: to pay attention to what veterans need and to take part in meeting that need. Your vote can help direct Target’s community giving. Your gift can help strengthen the resources MVF provides. And sharing the campaign can help someone else discover a way to contribute.
If you have been looking for a meaningful way to stand with veterans, this is a moment to turn care into action.
Cast your Target Circle votes before December 31. Make a gift through MVF’s website, and consider giving during the Mightycause early giving period or on GivingTuesday, December 1. Your support helps MVF keep showing up for veterans working toward a safer, more stable future.
